A definitive history of the clan, incorporating a substantial body of detailed post-Elizabethan genealogical information.

Volume 1: A New Insight upon Irish History

This volume looks at the mythological origins and rise of the clan O'Byrne, and re-assesses the importance of its best-known figure, Feagh MacHugh O'Byrne. Perhaps the major figure in Irish history of his period, the time has come for him to be viewed in the proper context of the national and international scene. The volume finishes with the destruction of the Byrnes' Country in the seventeenth century.

With extensive genealogical tables, full bibliography and index of places.

Brief information on Volume 2 here. You may purchase both volumes together at a discount from either page, or single volumes from their relevant pages.

Please note: RRP of Volume 1 is £20.00 and Volume 2 is £30.00

If you purchase both volumes together from this site, the total cost is only £35.00, post-free within the UK. Unfortunately, since the total weight of both volumes is over 900gm., overseas postage is expensive. There are two bands, one which includes Ireland or rest of Europe, the other for "the rest of the world".

When you purchase, please be careful to use the drop-down option to select the correct postal option - we have highlighted the "UK only" one (excludes Republic of Ireland), so just scroll down to the correct one if you live in Europe (including the Republic) or Outside of Europe. Overseas postage is by airmail, and currency conversion is automatic.

You can buy just Volume 1, or both volumes together. Because most customers choose to avail of the discount, we have put that "Buy Now" button first.
