It continues with an extensive reference section on many famous Byrnes, O'Byrnes and Burns. Shaun E. O'Byrne provides an insight into the O'Byrnes of Monaghan and Louth, followed by a discussion on the O'Byrnes as they have appeared in literature.

The volume concludes with the latest findings (May 2015) of the Byrne/Burns DNA study, looking at the many Byrne and Burn clans and septs of Ireland and their origins.
